LaPine Consulting LLC began after I saw a recurring gap: U.S. SMEs manufacturing in Asia had strategy, but execution stalled in LATAM—especially Mexico. Working with the U.S. Commercial Service in Boise, Idaho and twice at the U.S. Embassy in Lima, Peru I saw deals die on details: precise classification, accurate total landed cost, compliance, and access to real decision-makers.
During the Fulbright Binational Business Program in Mexico, I pivoted to hands-on support for U.S. SMEs entering Mexico, turning “barriers” into a work plan: classify, calculate, comply, sell.
Living and working in Mexico confirmed the opportunity: a larger, modern, well-connected market—close to the U.S., linked to Asia, ready to do business. From that, LaPine helps U.S. SMEs manufacturing in China turn strategy into revenue across LATAM by integrating market access, compliance, and on-the-ground execution to win first orders fast.
